Chris, I can see that you understand the concept of high/low key images from these pictures. Both are good but not spot on. If you crop the leafs out on your high key image and focus on the rose you would have nailed it. Or even had more front light on the subject. It is soft bright and dose give the feeling of high key. Your very close with this one. Your low key has the same problem. crop the sky out and you have a perfect example of low key, dark mood. You chose the right time to make this image. Next time try using a longer lens and focus in on the black street and side walk.
