Hey Stefanie, looks like you reprinted your high key image, and it has worked, it is high key now, but perhaps a different subject or lighting combination, eg a soft back light instead of hard sun light will give you an image you didn't have to over expose. White subject on white background with soft light is a good place to start for high key. Your low key is great! there is a little too much dead dark space for me, I think you could crop into the image and still maintain a low key feel but you get the concept.
next time or for your own benefit try making an exercise out of this assignment by shooting the same subject in high and low key like some of your class mate did, it will present more of a challenge to your lighting skills.
